Our client is seeking a 3D Designer to work at their creative offices in Bourne End. We are seeking a Junior and a Mid-weight for this role, hence the salary bracket. As 3D Designer (Junior or Mid-weight), you will provide support across all aspects of 3D design that translate a client’s brief into a full brand experience. With a good knowledge of creating 3D brand environments in exhibitions, events and experiential, you’ll provide design support to the Creative Leads and Senior Designers working as part of a larger creative or account team. You will bring your knowledge of 3D design packages with you (Vectorworks, Adobe 3D StudioMax, Cinema 4D) and some level of accredited training/qualification in a relevant design discipline, we’ll assist you in becoming a superuser of these programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative concepts and designs for a wide range of projects.
  • Articulate design ideas clearly and ensure that other stakeholders’ views are taken into account but without compromising the integrity of the creative idea.
  • Develop understanding of design briefs in terms of clients’ needs, their brand values and personality.
  • Work with the 3D design team to ensure all work meets company standards required to both win and produce high quality output. Keep accurate records of work created for reference and to support quality control.
  • Seek out and understand competitor design standards to sustain and elevate the calibre of 3D design standards.
  • Attending exhibitions and events to advise the company on competitive design, creative ideas and industry trends.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal meetings to effectively present design work, from pitch through to development and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets and records of costs incurred. Review project time and costs against budgets allowed.
  • Develop and keep up-to-date with latest tools/techniques to produce creative work.
  • Work with Studio Manager to identify opportunities to support a broad range of projects where time allows.
  • Work with the production teams to ensure creativity stays strong through to delivery and discuss alternative approaches if budgets/constraints become restrictive.
